1 Father forgive them for they know not what they do– Luke 23:34 (With this saying, Christ shows that His heart is unconditionally positioned towards THE EVERLASTING FATHER. And
even though His own creation put Him on that cross, His concerns are for the forgiveness of His people.)
2 I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in me in paradise. Luke 23:43 (Here, Christ is responding to the penitent thief’s request to be remembered by Christ when He goes to His
Kingdom. Again, Christ’s love is shown through His selfless response. Its amazing how Jesus remains present minded and says “today you will be with me in Paradise”. Even from the
cross, Christ eagerly received sincere repentance. Praise God!
3. John 19 26-27 “Woman here is your son” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.”
The apostle John is said to have been the only disciple present at the nonfiction crucifixion of Christ
There, Christ Blessed John and Mary(Jesus’ mother) with a Blessing of becoming bonded through a mother and son connection. The apostle John went on to Author 5 books in the New
Testament(The Gospel of John, 1st 2nd and 3rd John, and the Book of Revelation)
Its also been said that the Apostle John is the only disciple to have lived long enough to die of old age
All the other apostles died through martyrdom with the exception of Judas Iscariot(Christ’s Betrayer)
Reportedly, there were attempts to take John the Apostles life, even one where the Apostle John was placed in a boiling cauldron of oil (yikes) Thank you Lord for your Holy Spirit that
protected your Apostle so he could live on to Glorify your name.
