Jesus has said that whoever does the will of His Father the same is His mother, brother and sister (Matthew 12:50)
Mary sister of Lazarus and Martha:
anointed Jesus’ feet with a fragrance that costs a year’s worth of wages. (John 12:1-8)
That idea was given to her by God the Father
Judas Iscariot said that usage was a waste and could have been sold
to give the money to the poor
Judas’ voice was used to downplay an event
meant to honor the death Jesus
was about to willing take on to redeem His own from the sins of the world.
It was also a moment for Mary to give thanks to Jesus for who He is and also for raising her brother Lazarus from death and back to life. (John 11:1-44)
Just Before Jesus’ betrayal, He washed the disciple’s feet as an example of the kind of love they were to show to one another (John 13 1:17)
Thank you God the Father for giving Mary the Faith to Honor your only begotten Son
She was known to be at Jesus’ feet even when her sister wanted her to help around the house (Luke 10:38-42)
Your Holy Spirit Lord showed her who Jesus is
And she would not let anyone take that Blessing away.
Saints: Are there any voices around you that tell you your ideas to Honor God are a “waste”?
Pray to the same God of Mary, Martha and Lazarus
And He will assuredly show you that what the lost have called a waste, the same will bring them to their shame.
